Jaguar S-Type 3.8 liter 1966
This Jaguar S- Type has been built in 1966 . The car has a nice colour combination of an opalescent silver grey with a red interior.
According to the information of the previous owner this S-Type car had three previous owners. The car was originally delivered to Italy and the owner has taken the car to the USA and most of the time this car has been in San Francisco California, USA.
I imported the car in 2006 to Germany. The car was in good condition and had no corrosion.
Bodywork and painting
As the body of the car was in excellent condition we had to do only the paint work.
The paint was removed up to the metal and new paint work was done in the original colour in Germany.
Trimming
The Trim Set was supplied by The Trim Center Ltd. in Warwickshire, UK and the complete set was fixed by an experienced Classic Car upholsterer in Germany.
Engine
As the engine runs very smoothly no major repairs were made only the annual maintenance.
Transmission
The manual full synchronised original Moss transmission with overdrive was completely overhauled by Hardy Engineering Transmission Ltd. in Surrey UK.
Rear Axle
The rear axle completely overhauled with new original parts by AJS Engineering in the UK.
Suspension
The car is fixed with a Spax shock absorber. The front stabiliser rubber bushes were replaced. The rest of the suspension is in good condition.
Brakes
Front and rear new brake discs were fitted. The brake callipers were overhauled by Ward Engineering Colchester, UK
Fuel Lines
The fuel tanks are in very good condition, the fuel pumps were replaced.
Steering
New tie rod ends were fitted and the rest of the steering functions very well. This car is equipped with a manual steering.

This car is in very good condition and comes with several manuals and S-type books and Jaguar green cotton car cover.
The material of this cover is a special fabric with a smooth inner side that will protect the paint and is breathable to avoid mildew.
